Yes, puppy number five has arrived! I can't wait to spend the next year with the little(or maybe big... right shoulder male) guy!! I was able to steal him yesterday afternoon and we had a blast. He was very confident and happy! 

I will be 3 way co-raising Keno, and will have him a week a month. I'll let you know when we work out the schedule, but he's with Cheryl and Steve for the next 3 weeks.

It's been too long...

It's been months since my last post, but I haven't had anything exciting to post about until today.

So, here it is. Puppy assignment #5:

Cheyenne/Taylor 'K' litter, MYLGXX(3/4 golden, 1/4 lab), born July 31st. 

Cheyenne is Cordova and Chappelle's sister, so Kelsey and I, along with another couple, will be 3 way co-raising  a nephew of our first pups! We can't wait, and are very excited things worked out this way. 

So, Mr.K, even though you're only 13 days old, we can't wait for you to come home on September 26th!

Happy Birthday Suede!!

I'm late in posting this, but Sunday was Suede's 2nd birthday!! And Spike's too, of course :) 

They had a nice sign made up, and it was Indy's honorary birthday as they don't really know when it is. Indy is the 'pirate dog' with one eye all scrunched up(birth defect) and Spike and Suede are his maties. This is the reasoning for being a pirate themed party :) 

There were gifts, which they seemed to enjoy :) 

Their was also a pool, and whole cow, Suede got in!! 
The front 2 feet were a bit much though, so she resorted to resting his head on the side of the pool :) 

Overall it was a great time, and the pups were able to become another year older!! Here's to hoping for many more years of the S pups!

Life with the Spins

Hey everyone! It's been forever since my last post, but I promise on Sunday I will have something to post!! Just wait and see :) 

As for now, I have started a blog for the Spinoni. Tizzy went into heat on Tuesday and she will be bred during this heat cycle. So this new blog will hopefully follow Tizzy's pregnancy, and my family and I raising the pups until 8 weeks. I'm super excited, yet nervous at the same time. I just hope everything goes well!

Cordova and I on the ride home April 15, 2006. 

I promise I didn't forget... I was in Utah at the time and have just been really busy ever since. 

Cordova has moved and is now down in sunny LA. I'm sure she's loving it; she's always been quite the diva. Miss you already Dopey! 

Thanks Cordova, Suede, Burgess, and Tahoe for the last 1,095 days. Not one of them has gone by without a thought about at least one of you! I love you all dearly :)

The Gang

The whole gang had an amazing get-together on Sunday for the final time. It was a celebration of the beautiful 6 puppies who have filled Kelsey and I's lives for the last three years. It was also a goodbye to Miss Cordova, as she will be moving to the LA area on May 1st. I'm going to miss the girl, but I'm grateful she's been a part of my life for the last 3 years. Out of our gathering, we were able to get some great pictures, despite my sensitive squinty eyes and the tornado winds ;) Amazingly, we were able to get 6 dogs to look in the general direction of the camera.

Chappelle, Spike, Burgess, Tahoe, Suede, and Cordova. 

Through it all, the hellos, goodbyes, tears, and laughter, I wouldn't change a single thing about the last three years. These four puppies who surround me in front of the infamous red door have made me who I am today.

Thank you Cordova, Suede, Burgess, and Tahoe, for being the best pups you could be!
